Apple's QuickTime Plug-in for the Internet
Version 1.1 for Macintosh Users
Known Problems
--------------
The Macintosh plug-in has been developed to work with most browsers.
However, as with anything that is attempting to be compatible across
multiple applications, some problems are not correctable from within the
plug-in.
The following is summary of the known problems and the browser or
software they are associated with.
Netscape 3.0, 3.1
-----------------
• If your Monitors control panel is set to 256 colors your browser
window may occasionally take on strange coloration. This can happen
after you visit a web page that uses what is called a custom color
lookup table. Using a higher setting in the Monitors control panel
(thousands or millions of colors) will help correct the colors. You can
also quit and relaunch your browser to reset the colors.
• If an HREF tag in an embedded movie leads to a server that is refusing
connections, no error message is given. Netscape gives a connecting
host message and then continues to play the movie.
• When trying to print a movie "pieces" of the movie are placed on the
screen.
Netscape 2.0, 2.01, 2.02
------------------------
• When trying to print a movie "pieces" of the movie are placed on the
screen.
Internet Explorer 2.1
----------------------
• When trying to print a movie "pieces" of the movie are placed on the screen.
• When you click on a movie page and the click the back arrow to go to
the previous page, The vertical scroll bar disappears.
• When you click on some movies it causes down scrolling.
• HREF "mailto" places the subject and address in the address field.
• If you have a QuickTime VR movie in a frame and you click on a hot
spot that is supposed to bring up another view within the frame, it
actually displays the view in the full browser window, not just within
the frame.
Internet Explorer 3.0 Beta
--------------------------
• We are evaluating a pre-release beta version of Internet Explorer 3.0.
